Early life
Sarah Michelle Geller was born on the 14th of April in 1977 in the New York City. Her parents divorced while she was still young and had to be raised by only one parent her mother. She attended school at the Columbia grammar and preparatory. Then Fiorello LaGuardia High school.
Michelle was spotted by an agent in a restaurant in Manhattan at the age of four, after which she auditioned for a part in a television series starring Valerie Harper and Jeff Daniels. During the auditions, she read her own lines and even those of Harper. This really impressed the director and she was made to cast in the role. She once appeared in a controversial television commercial in which her character criticized McDonalds. This led to a law suit. Since then she has appeared in many television series such as Spenser for Hire and had a mirror role in the film Funny farm. Her first major break came in 1992 when she starred in the series swans crossing. She was also subsequently cast in the soap opera All my children.

Gellar has also hosted night shows appearing in a number of comedies. She met her husband Freddie Prinze during filming in 1997.They got engaged in 2001 and later married in Mexico. Geller is also an active advocate for charities. She has said in interviews that she believes in God but she does not belong to any organized religion.
