Sarah Michelle Geller Joins the ‘Dexter Prequel’ Series as Dexter’s Boss

Sarah Michelle Gellar will play Dexter Morgan’s new boss in Miami Metro Police Department’s ” Dexter Original Sin ” in the forthcoming “Dexter: Original Sin .”

In 1991 Miami, the film “Dexter: Original Sin”, follows Dexter as he transforms from a student into a serial killer. Dexter’s bloodthirsty impulses cannot be ignored anymore, so he must channel the darkness within him. Harry Slater, his father (and mentor), helps him adopt a Code that will help him eliminate people from society while avoiding the law enforcement radar. Dexter faces a unique challenge as he starts a forensics intern at Miami Metro Police Department.

Gellar is set to play Tanya Martin in the role of the CSI Chief at Miami Metro Police Department, Dexter Morgan’s new boss.

Dexter Cast

The cast of the prequel to “Dexter”, which includes Christian Slater, Patrick Gibson, Dexter Morgan and Patrick Dempsey, is also made up of Molly Brown, Debra Morgan as well as James Martinez, Angel Batista as Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Vince Masuka as Reno Wilson, Bobby Watt as Reno Wilson.

Gellar is best known as the iconic Buffy Summers, the titular character in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Other notable TV credits for Gellar include Paramount+’s “Wolf Pack,” CBS’s “The Crazy Ones,” opposite Robin Williams, and CW’s “Ringer.”

The linear channel Paramount+ With Showtime (formerly Showtime) will broadcast “Dexter Original Sin”, a production of Showtime Studios, Counterpart Studios.

Clyde Phillips is returning as the showrunner/executive producer of “Dexter” for the new series “Original Sin“. Scott Reynolds, Mary Leah Sutton and Tony Hernandez are also executive producers. Michael Lehmann will be the executive producer and director. He is also the director of Heathers. Robert Lloyd Lewis will produce the show. Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios produce. Gary Levine, Urooj Shariff and Tara Power will supervise production for Showtime Studios. Paramount Global Content Distribution distributes the series outside Paramount+ markets.
