Venom: The Last Dance

After two massive successes, Tom Hardy and the Venom symbiote appear set for one last memorable ride. On Monday, Sony unveiled its first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the third movie in their franchise about a reporter paired with an alien symbiote; in this one they must flee not only terrestrial enemies but cosmic ones as well. From what appears in this footage alone it seems they won’t take anyone lightly!

In the original film, Brock and the symbiote formed an unstoppable team. However, now that its power has become unmanageable and out of his hands, it’s up to Brock to get control back and put an end to this “last dance.”

The trailer kicks off with some lighthearted fun as Venom and Brock square off against each other in a casino, before quickly switching gears into serious action as Venom bites off four heads, only to be chased through San Francisco streets by giant thorny vines!

That is only the start, as Brock and Symbiote must also battle an army of robots and cosmic invaders before finally engaging in an epic showdown between themselves and symbiote in which it seems Brock may lose out against its might – only for them both to join forces for one final showdown! Just when all seemed lost, Brock and symbiote join forces together in one last effort and bond together in an ultimate showdown!

Kelly Marcel directed this film from a script she co-wrote with Hardy, using her screenplay that draws upon their story together. Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach and Stephen Graham among other. Produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach Amy Pascal Hutch Parker with Joe Caracciolo serving as Executive Producer.

Hardy may have hinted that Venom 3 will mark the series finale by posting an Instagram picture featuring its title page with a “LAST DANCE” sticker affixed over it in June.

With Kraven the Hunter, El Muerto and Madame Web all scheduled to arrive before 2024 is over, it will be fascinating to witness Sony’s Spider-Man Universe play out over time. Venom: The Last Dance could mark Hardy’s final waltz or Marvel Studios may have something else planned for him/it; either way we cannot wait to find out what comes next when Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on Oct 12, 2024.
